Sara Lane Clossen, wedding
This was such a fun wedding.  I met the bride and her mother in New York and we proceeded directly to the fabric district.   We found a gorgeous metallic organza, and a beautiful ivory charmeuse to put under the organza.  Sara wanted the dress to be luminescent, but low key.  After we found the fabric, in one of the worst blizzards New York had seen in 10 years, we drove to Maine to their home, where it was beautiful and warm.  My "studio" in Maine had a breath-taking view of the Atlantic, with Kennebunkport to the south and South Portland to the north.  I watch the lobster boats and oil tankers come and go while I finished Sara's dress.  The bride's mother, Martha, took me to fabulous restaurants and wonderful concerts every night.  This was so much fun to make a beautiful dress and have so much fun doing it - day and night.

Friday, the father, Ken (my cousin) came home to see our progress, and his first comments were, "Why, it's beautiful," to which we all exclaimed, "What did you expect?"    After all this hard work in my beautiful remote studio, then I had to go to the wedding in Nevis, British West Indies, and sit around and be pampered with Sara's wonderful family and fabulous new in-laws.
